Ok by my own admission I have been slacking just a bit on taking care of the page here while trying to find bookings for the Irish Road Show and the Moonshine Family Sideshow. Any way you look at it there are several newsworthy things to report on and some of it may have been covered but here is everything in a nutshell.
First thing first is our new dates will be June 7th and 8th 2025 and yes, we will be returning to McAlester for year 2 and a half. Hopefully we will add a few more attendees as the Jefferson Highway Convention will be taking place during the week leading up to the Stampede. Not a bad lead in when you have an international convention as your opening act.
Next, I am extremely happy to announce that there are some key volunteers stepping up to lend a hand the event. Lynne Childers: one of the Two Sassy Sisters will be taking over as Vendor Coordinator which is a huge relief and help to me. Paul Quimby will lend his expertise to the Paranormal Investigation department. As lead investigator for After Walkers Paranormal he is much more suited to take care of that area than I. Mychall Allen has agree to become the official MC for our event and I cannot say how grateful I am as he did a fantastic job of it this year. If all goes as planned folks will have the opportunity to interact with Pa Moonshine and the slightly warped and twisted Moonshine Family to include the Sassy Sisters. There is still plenty of areas to volunteer in so don't be shy and come join the insanity.
Finally, as you may have noticed the change in background for the Gear Con site. I will say I truly liked the train but in researching so did several other events which created a huge branding issue. As a result of further investigation, the Buffalo became a logical choice to set us apart. That being said I am hoping to reveal the new logo of the stampede by the end of the month.
I can almost guaranteed I've missed something but for now I think I will call it good. See You all down the road.
Pa Moonshine
